Ms. Michelle Tucci is a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist who has earned two master’s degrees. She received her first master’s degree in psychology from Adelphi University, and her second master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hofstra University. Michelle completed both programs with high honors and distinction. She is part of the RPA team where she practices individual, couples, and family therapy. Michelle has worked in a variety of therapeutic settings, ranging from community clinics, group practices, and hospital-based outpatient settings. Her passion and life’s work is to help individuals who are struggling in their lives attain a happier and healthier way of living. Through her training at Hofstra University’s Marriage and Family therapy program, Michelle has learned to take a unique approach in her way of viewing and working with families, couples, and individuals. From a strengths-based perspective ,and through the use of various systemic and evidence-based treatment modalities, Michelle helps her clients learn to stop viewing themselves and their loved ones as “sick” and “defective” people. Instead, Michelle works with families and clients to help them see themselves and their loved ones as fully functional individuals, who are stuck in dysfunctional patterns and cycles in their relationships. Michelle works diligently with her clients to help them identify their dysfunctional patterns ,and to eventually learn to create newer healthier ways of communicating and relating to one another . By helping both family members and individuals in learning how to relate more effectively, relationships become strengthened and individuals begin to feel more secure and content both intrapsychically, and interpersonally in their lives.
